Our first tournament is the Member-Guest, Spring Golf Fling which is scheduled for May 22, a Tuesday. As some of you may not know, the Piperettes were down to just a few players in 2002 and we have grown to 65 members for 2007. With that growth, two years ago we scheduled our first Member-Guest in 2005 and again last year in 2006. Jane Abbott, our tournament chairwoman for those two years, was the driving force behind the success of this event and we would like to be able to keep up the tradition that has been started.

This year the format for the event will be a two woman better ball, handicapped at 80% with handicaps being verified by our Handicap Chairwoman, with Richard verifying any guest handicaps in question. This will be a flighted event, possibly with three flights, which will be flighted after completion of play. Preparations for the meal have not yet been completed, but we’re pricing this event at $55.00 for each player.
